Women's Soccer Announces 2012 Recruiting Class

Seven freshmen, one transfer set to join squad for next season

Raven women’s soccer coach Head Coach Lincoln Roblee is pleased to announce the signing of seven incoming freshman and one transfer to the recruiting class of 2012.

“We have an outstanding group of student-athletes joining our Benedictine family,” said Coach Roblee. “Combined with our strong returning veteran players, these talented newcomers should help us continue our winning ways.”

The decorated recruiting class of 2012 has won many High School and Club State Championships, including 2 players winning ECNL National Championship in 2011. The class consists of All-Star players from the Kansas City area as well as Indiana and California. Outstanding in the classroom, many in the recruiting class have also received academic honors.

The incoming players will be joining a Benedictine Lady Raven squad that in 2011 went 11-6-3, was ranked during the season in the Top 25, and received the NSCAA Team Academic and NSCAA Team Ethics Awards.
 
Mary Boos (5’8, defender, Olathe/Notre Dame deSion, KCFC Ice), Ashley Chandler (5’5 midfielder, Kansas City, Mo./Raytown South, KC United Metros), Liz Enna (5’5, midfielder, Overland Park/St. James Academy, Kansas Rush), Jordan Francescon (5’3 forward, Temecula, Calif./Temecula Valley, San Diego Surf), Kara Hines (5’6 defender
Prairie Village/Shawnee Mission East, KCFC Ice), Adrienne Korson (6’0 goalkeeper, Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger, Fort Wayne Sports Club), Tessie Zarse (5’8 midfielder, Overland Park/St. Thomas Aquinas, BVSC Villareal) and Bethany Smith (5’7 forward, Overland Park/St. James Academy/Missouri State, KCFC Intensity) will all join the Ravens squad for the 2012 soccer season.
