Benedictine College head women’s basketball coach Chad Folsom has signed another member to his 2012-13 recruiting class with the announcement of junior college transfer, April Miller. Miller is a 6’1” post from Lawrence, who has played at Butler Community College in El Dorado the past two seasons.
Miller played for a solid Butler Community College women’s basketball team that finished the year 19-13. She played in every game for the Grizzlies shooting over 45% from the field. April is a strong post player who rebounds the ball well and plays very hard. She also comes from a strong high school basketball program, Lawrence High School, who won the Kansas 6A state basketball championship in 2008.
“April will provide a strong physical presence in the post for us next season,” said Coach Folsom. “She is a very hard worker, who runs the floor well, and attacks the glass. April is a also a strong student, and we are excited to have her joining our Lady Raven family.”
